She studied European Public Relations and holds a master's degree specializing in European Public Relations (M.A. European Public Relations) from the University of Exeter, awarded with Distinction. She is a member of the Professional Association Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Conservative Party of G. Britain, as well as the Democratic Rally (DISY).

 

As the head of her own consulting company, EU MAP Consulting Ltd., she has been offering considerable European political lobbying services to major European companies for many years. Maria speaks 7 languages and is the representative of the Democratic Rally in the European People's Party.

 

She is married to Reimer Boege (former MEP 1989-2019) and for the past 5 years she has created and maintains her own worldwide Charitable Facebook Group, for women suffering from the Lipoedema disease, which lists 12,500 members from 100 countries.
